Squash

Squash is a sport which involves 2 or 4 people and is played in a small court with racquets and a hollow rubber ball which is hit against the wall and the return ball then hit by the opposite team. The game is very fast paced and requires a high level of fitness and hand eye coordination to play with skill. The sport was developed in France in the 12th Century where it was played by children in alleys and monks in the courtyards of the monasteries. Other than a racquet and ball, no specialised clothing or equipment is necessary, a cool T-shirt and pair of shorts will keep you from over heating, and don’t forget your water bottle to replace the liquid you have lost. Shower at the gym so that you can return home in comfort, just remember to pack your towel and shower gel.
